This could increase the longevity of composite resin fillings to at least a decade, if not longer. Tests are showing that the extract actually strengthens dentin, which is the layer of your tooth that lies beneath your enamel up to ten times. The better the filling is able to bond to your tooth, the less breakdown there is.
